What are HAB's?
Harmful algal blooms (HAB) produce natural toxins that can harm other organisms and negatively impact the ecosystem.
Song Lake has experienced HAB's in the past, and will most likely have them in the future. As part of our CSLAP testing, we are able to provide samples of these blooms, as they occur.
This is important, as different blooms produce different types and levels of toxicity. If you see a bloom, please contact Carl Grillo as soon as possible.
